Could you tell me how to install corrrectly the google-earth and skype? Before I could install them by using the skype and google earth repositories like this one about google earth at http://sidux.com/index.php?module=Wikula&tag=GoogleEarth
What about skype ? I have read some isntructions about it at http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=232321
But It didn't work for aptosid.
What I am missing? I appreciate for your support as soon as possible.
I don't like these softwares because they are bloated but eveyone asks about them when start using the aptosid.

For google earth, I use the "make google-earth package" method. On my new desktop system, built in late November (with Keres), I used it again. There's a note here, regarding an Nvidia graphics issue I found: http://www.aptosid.com/index.php?name=P ... &t=500
For skype, I've always found skype for 64-bit Linux a little dodgy, and I have to have a Windows VM anyway for other reasons, so I just run Windows skype from the VM, and it works flawlessly.

I used the same method as dibl for google-earth.
