Just re-organised my hard drive and freshly installed 64bit from the latest full iso.

Only niggle so far is that the "oxygen-gtk" sytle is not being inherited by applications such as iceweasel etc.

I installed the qtcurve engine and that is inherited, and switching back to "oxygen-gtk" in system setings leaves iceweasel etc, with the qtcurve style.

I don't know if this is a bug, or I have forgotten something.

      Code:

dpkg -l | grep gtk
ii  gtk2-engines-oxygen                        1.1.0-1                                  Oxygen widget theme for GTK+-based applications
ii  gtk2-engines-qtcurve                       1.8.8-1                                  This is a set of widget styles for Gtk2 based apps
ii  kde-config-gtk-style                       2:0.5.3-1                                KDE configuration module for GTK+ 2.x style selection
ii  libgpod4-nogtk                             0.8.0-3                                  library to read and write songs to an iPod
ii  libgtk2.0-0                                2.24.5-2                                 GTK+ graphical user interface library
ii  libgtk2.0-common                           2.24.5-2                                 common files for the GTK+ graphical user interface library
ii  libgtkmm-2.4-1c2a                          1:2.24.0-1                               C++ wrappers for GTK+ (shared libraries)
ii  python-gtk2                                2.24.0-2                                 Python bindings for the GTK+ widget set

      Code:
cat .gtkrc-2.0-kde
# This file was written by KDE
# You can edit it in the KDE control center, under "GTK Styles and Fonts"

include "/usr/share/themes/oxygen-gtk/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"
include "/etc/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"

style "user-font"
{
        font_name="Verdana"
}

gtk-theme-name="oxygen-gtk"
gtk-font-name="Verdana 8"

OK, after I remembered the existence of "gtk-theme-switch", I have Iceweasel in oxygen-gtk style.

I'll marked this as solved, but I think there's a bug somewhere in KDE gtk+ appearance / system settings.
