If you look at their actual commits, you will see that the ammount of code lines is impressive, the quality and actuality is questionable - and they commited exclusively patches and drivers around their own products (MS-hardware, -server software, etc). So, they just want to be at the party with their stuff.

Why am I thinking, Trojan Horse? 
What saddens me a little is 10 years ago at least, I was telling everyone about Linux and had high hopes that it would be much further desktop-wise along by now- meaning, you know what I mean. I have gotten a few friends to run live cds when they want to go places online where they probably shouldn't go... but none have installed it. And they all complain their system has slowed down! Guess who reinstalls their system! A year later same problem. Defrag Ha!
We have to reach people in the womb! Is there an app for that? |

Microsoft has been at the level it wanted for ages- it started the GUI user-friendly desktop that every Tom, Dick & Harry
can use, it still rules. From kids to Corporates, all use Microsoft OS.
Linux, still is for the geeks. And no professional, expect Linux developers, can do without the MS OS, pirated or
genuine. There simply are not enough applications that are needed and nothing like VB6 in Linux. Let us accept it.
None of the tools I need is available in Linux, the ones available (like LPCXPRESSO about which I had posted some
time back) are not usuable.
The spread of the MS OS is so huge that MS is not at all worried about Linux and will not be for decades to
come. A time comes when the Boss sees his social responsibilty too- personally I do not doubt intentions of
people unless I have solid reasons too. Afterall the MS chief is also best of the best of the technical persons and
developers. He had started with writing OS for the GIANT IBM, if my memory is right. The love for changes and
challeges never dies, money takes second place when one has enough (or even reasonable.
Why is aptosid there? I do not think that it is only for business. So why it is in anyway surprising that MS
likes GNU Linux? They actually would be loving it, they are not so lonely at the top.
