apt-get purge libstdc++6-4.3-dev libstdc++6-4.4-dev
should fix your problem. You can also remove libstdc++6-4.5-dev if you like, gcc-4.{3,4,5} are no longer the default compiler - 4.6 is currently, so everything you need to compile (if you need at all) should compile with it… |

Now I can answer my question: yes, it is safe to do d-u. I just did it and all was fine. It was not necessary to make any remove.

I usually d-u twice a day on 2 of them, the other 2 get done once a week |
