E: Couldn't configure pre-depend libc6-i386 for lib32asound2, probably a dependency cycle.

What about this warning? Is it safe to do d-u now?

du with -d option. Watch forums for 2-3 days.
Then du.

I have kept myself safe like this so far.

      Code:
apt-get purge libstdc++6-4.3-dev libstdc++6-4.4-dev

should fix your problem. You can also remove libstdc++6-4.5-dev if you like, gcc-4.{3,4,5} are no longer the default compiler - 4.6 is currently, so everything you need to compile (if you need at all) should compile with it…

Now I can answer my question: yes, it is safe to do d-u. I just did it and all was fine. It was not necessary to make any remove.

Thanks to everybody
