virtuoso-mimimal is already installed.
Since I did not know at the time which one I had to install, I installed all of them.
Here is a list of what is installed:

virtuoso-minimal
virtuoso-server
virtuoso-opensource-6.1-bin
virtuoso-vad-doc
virtuoso-opensource
virtuoso-opensource-6.1-common
virtuoso-vad-isparql
virtuoso-vad-tutorial
virtuoso-vad-conductor
virtuoso-vad-demo
virtuoso-vad-syncml
virtuoso-vad-sparqldemo
virtuoso-vad-bpel
virtuoso-vad-ods
virtuoso-opensource-6.1
virtuoso-vsp-startpage
libvirtodbc0
libvirtuoso5.5-cil
akonadi-backend-odbc

I am thinking of purging all this and reinstalling only virtuoso-minimal, if that still does not work, then reinstall nepomuk too.
Please let me know if you agree with this procedure.

So I went into init 3 and purged virtuoso-*
Next I updated and d-u.
I am now running kernel 3.0-4.slh2.
Next I installed virtuoso-minimal and related packages.
Still no luck,
Problem is that there is no nepomuk package that can be reinstalled, rather several that include it.
Still in the dark.

In the meantime, please post these outputs:
akonadictl status (as user)

ls -l /home/<username>/.local/share/akonadi/

I think it might be a problem of Akonadi.

EDIT: And please run a self-test of akonadi:
kcmshell4 kcm_akonadi
It's in the second tab at the bottom of the window. You have the option to copy the report into clipboard. Post it here.

EDIT: Everything as user.

Stop nepomuk server with:

      Code:
qdbus org.kde.NepomukServer /nepomukserver quit

then run it again from a terminal with a command:
      Code:
nepomukserver &

and post the output here.
