Well, despite the fact that it seems that the name comes from a latin root,
aptosid looks like the greek phrase
"απ'το sid" (ap'to sid) that means "{coming) from sid"
:p
It makes more sense :p |

Pronounciation(sorry I actually don't have the full charset to do this):[,apto:'sid] or: [ap,to:'sid] or: [apto:'sid]
spelling: ap•to•sid (or: apto•sid - but I would prefer the first one, maybe the second isn't even right) |

as long as it's not "Ap to' cid", which sounds like a baldness cure, foisted upon a mortality-phobic public by a pharmacuetical behemoth, that causes severe birth defects when touched by pregnant women . . . :-/ |
