| I downloaded some debian junior games for my grandson to learn and play on and they do not appear anywhere in the menu. Can someone tell me how I can get them into the menu? The packages were junior-games-card, junior-math, and junior-arcade. |

Did you install them via apt-get or dpkg, which desktop do you use, were the builds for debian or ubuntu?
If you want to search for them i would start in /usr/bin, /usr/local/bin or /opt/bin for the executables. |

In general, you can list all files included in an installed package with
Code:
dpkg -L packagename
If the package is not installed you need apt-file installed:
Code:
apt-file list packagename
But these packages are… old. They are not even included in the last debian stable release!
Try 'goplay' to browse for games. |

They were installed via apt-get, I was in the KDE4 desktop, and thanks I will search. |

Argh, sorry, i mixed them up with other (source) packages with the same name, forget it - all fine.
These package itself doesn't install games (or anything else), they are just installing "tasks" you can choose with tasksel for installation. |

Thanks for all the help. As Per usual, it was my fault, those packages were not actually "games". I've got tuxmath and some others on here for them now. Thanks
