I would suggest to put links to the different language fora (forums?) in the menu on the left. If not to all then at least to the major ones (membership > xx)

Agreed...sometimes I browse DE with google translator just to get the gist of what was being discussed in the DE forum

Some info that's discussed there's not always reposted in English

That is exactly the problem. Since there are many Germans I might miss some important information if I don't check that forum as well. Not a big deal but it was easier to see when all was on one page.

The German forum is not integrated in the aptosid project any more, and legally independend. It is community run (Devil and others) on it's own server, as are the Greek and Brazilian ones. While we appreciate those community forums, and of course allow linking there from our news, blog and forums, we have to keep a sane distance. This gives them the freedom and indepence we hope they appreciate.

German community forum
Greek community forum
Brazilian community forum

More to come!

Greetings,
Chris

But what about the initial question, linking to the community forums from the menu section on the left? Maybe as a seperate paragraph named Community?

We tested already a few options while we prepared everything.

The problem is: You want to show them in a prominent and visible place, but you don't want to give the false impression that these are official forums/wikis nor that you have any influence on the content of the linked site and you don't want a too longish menu on the left otherwise you can't see the wood with all these trees standing around…
