The "Possible Missing Firmware" warning is nothing new, but the bits that begin with "FATAL" are worrying.

Haven't rebooted yet. Currently running 3.2-9.slh.1

Please advise.

The warnings (FATAL: Module [foo] not found.) arise from the newly introduced kmod, which replaced module-init-tools last night, and are mostly cosmetic. Those messages are nothing to worry about.

I would strongly suggest against localepurge though, but this is unrelated (there would be better alternatives using dpkg's regexp support).

Much thanks for the prompt response. You're right, it was nothing to worry about. I'd just never experienced this many "FATAL: Module [XX] not found" type errors at once before. Rebooted and currently running latest kernel without any issues.

Thanks for the advice. I guess installing localepurge is sort of an old habit of mine that's been carried over from years gone by. I'll do some reading on dpkg's regexp support and remove localepurge

I'll mark this thread [SOLVED] now.

Again, thanks
