Anyway, it will nover come to SID, since its not open!
In Sid you will find gnash, which is not bad at all! |

The following will install a working and updated flash. I believe the code name for what gets installed is "square" but that is just marketing buzz:
apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree |

Well, you're not very well-informed...
The flash plugin has been restored to its previous (pre somewhere in august) state. FYI it had always been available, but had been pulled by Adobe, now it has returned. Joy for nonfree! |

Do I have to remove what I had installed, I assume the 32-bit version?
What do I do for clean removal? |

| This is where it gets complicated. Installing 32-bit on a 64-bit system requires binaries and compatability software for running 32-bit. If you didn't install all of this bit apt-get then you'll have to do some manual removal and likely fix some links... did you keep notes on how you did the install? |

I tried it, but I got the following errormessage:
Quote:
what should I do? Wait?
edit: now, two hours later, it worked! |

I just downloaded the .so file from adobe and then copied it into /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins.
Everything flash related is working for me. Youtube, hulu, etc. This is awesome. |
