Hi,

i noticed strange behaviour of my box. Currently I don't have no fixed line nor Internet in our new house.

So go to several Hotels or cafes that offer WiFi.

After running ceni and entering the credentials I always have to restart the machine.

/etc/init.d/networking restart

won't do it (as it says when running the command)
Is there any other command instead of restarting the box?

BTW, often nameservers are not loaded. I can tell because I have some sites in my /etc/hosts file These are working but nothing else.

Thanks in Advance.

Step 1) Get an internet connection at your house.
Step 2) Show us the error messages you're getting from all of the commands you've tried.

Well, actually I don't know what commands I should try - except for ceni or ping (or the like).
Ping gives me a
network unreachable...

ifup wlan0 gives me 'wlan0 already configured'.

Now I am having a strange effect when running

/etc/init.d/networking restart

It tries to ping my old network numbers (actually the old gateway).
But I can not find this number in /etc/ when I do a grep on this.
Any ideas welcome...
