erm .. well
AARNet repo is only updated when they sync, the regularity of this is not known for sure, i guess u can watch for it .. and im not saying dont use it
cant guarantee it but .. apart from the ISOs
for freshest kernels + fixes its best to use the published deb lines for aptosid, they are 'push' mirrors directly updated by us
btw aarnet do have Debian repos http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/debian/ |

| If / when csclub.uwaterloo comes online it will be a fast north american mirror. Any feedback from them yet? |

http://wiki.csclub.uwaterloo.ca/Mirror : we may be in a waiting-list
ALSO: http://mirror.csclub.uwaterloo.ca/
We experienced a recent power outage which caused the RAID array hosting mirror data to need to be rebuilt. As a result, the mirrored data is temporarily read-only. We hope to resume synchronizing as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Reconstruction of the RAID has completed 77%
no reply yet to my mail
its entirely possible that a spot of social engineering could be useful
like emails in support of aptosid mirror, say from students or staff at u waterloo ...
or Canadians even |

Terrific. I live about 100 miles (165 km) south of there. First bit of good news out of Washington in a long time.

Thanks to Yellow Fiber Networks. I downloaded an iso and I got these statistics:
Downloaded 525.6 megabytes in 5:52 seconds. (1524.69 KB/s)
It started at 2500KB/s and slowed down to 1524KB/s gradually (I blame Comcast's Powerboost for that)
I live 59mi/95km from Reston |

Yeah, Reston / Yellow Fiber has been reported very fast locally
perhaps not so fast to users further away, like West Coast .. |
