As said in another thread, the kernels 3.6.xx and following doesn't work well for me. I'm now running the 3.1-6.slh.1 one, which is a bit too old.
Can somebody explain how to download and install the latest kernel of the 3.5 series?

Have you tried 3.7.xx which is what we currently have?
I would also try with the Thanatos livecd (which has 3.6 kernel) as this problem is a rather strange one.
There is no easy way to retrieve older kernels. If you don't have them in /var/cache/apt/archives you might know someone who does (and can be acquired over a safe communication channel); no other option I would know of as these kernels aren't supported anymore. If you really have to stick to one in this age-area try the current debian-kernel (which will be released with wheezy) based on 3.2.
There is a reason for not having an (aggressive) autoremove for kernels you know … |
