I ran into this bug:

Fix was fairly straightforward.

I had this same problem.
If you could include what you did to fix this, that would be very helpfull.
The link you provide mentions

What I did was follow the instructions here:

but changed kdebase-data to libqtdbus4.
It seemed like overkill, and it seems to have worked. But for me was not at all straightforward.

Sorry, I guess the reason it was really easy for me to remove libqt4-dbus is because I use xfce and only a handful of Qt apps.

never --force, bad idea mmk
a simple

apt-get -f install
usually suffices
[in most cases of d-u stoppage]
