I am having similar issues, but they are ones I experienced trying to build a vanilla 3.10 kernel from both github and kernel.org.
All three attempts resulted in the m-a build error
      Code:

/usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel/nv-i2c.c: In function ‘nv_i2c_del_adapter’:
/usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel/nv-i2c.c:327:14: error: void value not ignored as i
t ought to be
     osstatus = i2c_del_adapter(pI2cAdapter);
              ^
make[3]: *** [/usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel/nv-i2c.o] Error 1
make[2]: *** [_module_/usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-3.10-0.slh.1-aptosid-amd64'
make[1]: *** [modules] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel'
make: *** [build-stamp] Error 2

During today's d-u, I ran
      Code:
 m-a -k /usr/src/linux-headers-3.10-0.slh.1-aptosid-amd64 build nvidia-kernel-source
I received the above. I then went to
      Code:
/usr/src/module/nvidia-kernel/nv-i2c.c
and noticed it was written in magic. I promptly turned 180° horizontally and swam away.

I will try to find a simple solution, but I wanted to post my suspicions. I believe the issue is either in the 3.10 vanilla kernel or the nvidia-source package.

the issue seems to be procfs related
