Hello,
I tried to mount a USB stick and failed. Then I tried to mount a USB external disk to fail again.
I think it has something to do with the plus (+) at the end of the directory

Anyone with similar problem?
Is something that I can do to bypass the problem?

Hello,
same problem here since last dist-upgrade on two different computers : yesterday and today
Plus, about 150 udevd errors at boot time. For example :
udevd[642]: failed to execute '/lib/udev/socket:@/org/freedesktop/hal/udev_event' 'socket:@/org/freedesktop/hal/udev_event': No such file or directory

One should probably wait for someone who have better knowledge to reply, but I had both issues. The former was a problem related to policykit-1. (See http://www.aptosid.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=2784.) If I remember well (and I may not), I fixed it by installing systemd-shim.
A google search on the second problem seemed to say that that was related to hal, which apparently is deprecated. Removing hal seemed to have fixed it.
(Again, maybe you should not trust me on this.) |

Yes, "apt-get purge hal" fixed the latter issue for me too, but IIUC they were only warning messages and nothing that serious. |

saxxonian: which problem? The messages (from the second post) or not being able to mount USB storage?
snvv and ccbc: did installing systemd-shim (and having an up to date policykit-1) fixed the problem? |

Indeed installing systemd-shim and dist-upgrading to get the latest policykit-1 solves the USB problem
Thanks ! |
