Hello,
I installed TOR and vidalia. I used the privoxy configuration file from https://www.torproject.org/docs/tor-doc-unix#privoxy.

Proxy works well in iceweasel, Konqueror & Ktorrent.

The poroblems are:
1 st: In chromium the change proxy settings does not work. I deleted all the config files and restarted chromium but it still does not work. The same version (7.0.516.0 (58618)) has no problem in a Vbox.

is when I start vidalia it shows “Vidalia detected that the Tor software exited unexpectedly. Please check the message log for recent warning or error messages.”
For the log messages see pic bellow.

Any idea what is going wrong with chromium and vidalia?

Thank you

EDIT. When TOR is enabled I can't watch youtube videos.

there is a tor plugin for iceweasel(torbutton ) which makes the configuration easier for the proxy settings. Is there some addon for chromium ?
