Post subject: Problems while booting seminarix remake [solved]

Hi,
I've created a modified iso from seminarix out of a live system (mksquashfs + genisoimage), but during boot it says: Target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init and then run-init: /bin/sh: No such file or directory
In verbose:
Begin: Running /scripts/init-bottom ... done
Target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init
run-init: /bin/sh: No such file or directory
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
Pid: 1, comm: run-init Not tainted 2.6.31-6.slh.1-sidux-686 #1
I've never had such an error before and I often create modified iso's |

It works, now.
Just had to exclude more files out of the squashfs, like it is described in the exclusion_list of the pyfll project.
This time I've included nearly everything in the squashfs of the failed iso.
Moral: Sometimes it is better to leave the bad things out then to include them all (less is more - weniger ist mehr)  |

What is seminarix ?
Also since you say about "exclusion_list of the pyfll project" is related with doing a new aptosid flavour ?

seminarix is an educational project that is based on aptosid or in former times sidux.
I've tried to modify it for my school, so that we could better use it there.
I've also added some comfortable scripts to manage the class room. |

How can be used seminarix in a school ?
Maybe a better way to find that is to let me to test your's Seminarix.

But I think a new version of seminarix will come with the new aptosid apate.

Seminarix has got many educational programms, so it can be used for nearly every subject like Mathmatics, Science, Languages, and even Religion! It has got a nice programm called eduversum, that improves management of the class room or preparation for the subject massively. Another tool named iTalc lets you easily manage all computers in a network.

there will be no seminarix update until sometime 2011 at least. we need to reconstruct it first.
