what i meant was, substitute the letters "slh" for the picture of the scorpion. no scorpion, only the letters "slh", sitting there emanating light. letters and light in any color which pleases you and your eye.
zenren thanks again for the good stuff, ike. |

Sorry Ike, I don't see where the "slh" letters are in the picture.
I just wrote "aptosid" and "apt O sid",
I never wrote "slh"
Thank you in advance for you answer. |

dear zenren, what i mean is to not have the crab in your picture.
instead insert the letters "slh" where the crab is, at the point of the knife/spear.
i'll try and draw something so you can see what i mean.
sorry to waste your time. all the best,
ike. |

Light blue and Red do not go well together (my opinion). If you use either the blue or blue-green shades OR the orange-red shades with Red, the contrast will be low. Wall papers, as I use, should not pop out, they are backgrounds. So contrast of colors should be low.
Nice work otherwise, something I liked after a long time. |

fiuuuuu sorry again for my poor mind and my poor english, IKe.
Who knows why, I had understood the opposite.
So what you mean is to remove the crab and put the word "slh"...
Well I think it could be a nice new idea... and now I need a good brainstorm about it eh eh
Thank you for your comments Ike.

... at the end, often I like to free the creation ...
Moreover I think the wallpaper is often covered by the programs window, so for the few time the desktop is free it can be beautiful to see something contrasted
But at the and again you are right, they are backgrounds.
So thank you for your comment and suggestions.

free the creation and the creator.
some of my wallpapers i allow icons on, others that i really love i won't allow it, like some of my favorite views and pictures of friends no longer with us. those i just like to gaze at sometimes. like looking out the window, it's a nice break from work.
my boss (ME) heartily endorses it (gazing at pleasing/inspiring stuff) 8-D

Hi Zenren,
Just to say thanks for the new wallpaper. I find it grows on me. I like more now than when I first saw it. The colors are interesting too.
I am so envious of people with artistic and design skills.
regards

Hi Ike,
do you mean something about that in attachment?
The font are sidux bold for "aptosid" and subpear for "slh"
This is the kde-look.org link to the new SLH version:

took me a minute to find the link to it in your original post, zenren.
i really liked this when i first saw it and i'm liking it better every time i look at it.
it's got such nice balance and harmony, both in color and composition, but it's exciting at the same time. and it recalls buddhist religious imagery, with its reminder of a lotus blossom opening, and the brightly burning halo of light that bathes the being of the Enlightened One. it is perfect zenren... really.
take it literally or tongue in cheek? up to the beholder to decide.
to be honest i was having trouble letting go of sidux, the name/color schemes/artwork, but what you've done here makes sidux look like water-under-the-bridge, the past, old fashioned.
thanks again, ike. |
