cat /proc/asound/modules

      Code:

kmix starts well, alsamixer is able to start and I switched inside the alsamixer the "MM" and changed the adjustments of the foreign channel and the other rulers for now round about two days but the result is >> no sound.

Now I would be glad to get some hints / help how to find/solve the mistake/problem because I haven't enough Experience to find it on my own !
If you'll need some more output, please give me a hint Crying or Very sad

Cheers
leon

Does alsa play sounds?
      Code:
aplay /usr/share/sounds/k3b_success1.wav

Can you play a music CD?

Can you test systemsettings -> notifications -> player settings -> use KDE sound then go to applications tab and test a sound? Smile

Hy folks,

trying again brings up:

activating the "Audigy Analog/Digital/Output Jack" solved the problem.

Now I got sound and I can use my aptosid as before my sidux.

Have a great time, see you next

@HeSaid,

this rocks

      Code:
sam@aptosidbox:~$ aplay /usr/share/sounds/k3b_success1.wav
Wiedergabe: WAVE '/usr/share/sounds/k3b_success1.wav' : Unsigned 8 bit, Rate: 8000 Hz, mono

before I can't play a CD now everything is fine.

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

Cheers

leon

Recently I had a minor sound problem. Only one application at a time could use the sound card.
I tried various things and eventually I changed the priority of sound drivers. Making the Jack audio... the preferred device the problem is solved but it is odd.

Well, something needs to do mixing.. You either need to use JACK, pulseaudio, or ALSA software mixing(dmix).
