While watching a video with **removed**, suddenly the speakers stopped working.
I reinstalled alsa, ... modified some settings in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf but nothing helped...
Meanwhile the headphones are working just fine...
Any suggestions ? |

Replace them with working ones Seriously, you're sure there's no hardware error ? Checked the mixer settings, modules loaded ? That's all I can suggest, my sound is always working OOTB. |

Ohhh man... just tested the system with the live cd of sidux, the same problem....
I guess you are right then OppaErich. I Also found the same problem on the same notebook as mine in the ubuntu forum : http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1349136 .
Maannnn.. speakers KAPUTT. Any Ideas about how much a repair, or the same speakers for my HP nc8430 would cost?
I guess there is such a thing a usb speakers... Damnit.... |

WTF?
just to let you know, i started the hedgewars game and suddenly the speakers are working again.... dunno... the movie i was watching was Inception... maybe leonardo dicaprio caused some temporary hardware malfunction...
