Is it possible to have the Wallpaper without the comic strip and with the lettering centered? I love the last red wallpaper with the Scorpion and the sidux lettering in the middle, I would like to have at least something similar as that.

If no one wants to or can't do that, is it possible to someone provide me with the new aptosid source wallpaper files (preferrebly with layered image) so I can try and do something by myself (and sharing it as soon as I finish)? Smile

@OrDoS: I modified the Hypnos wallpaper for myself - maybe something for you?

That's it!!! Thanks!

Can you get me a native 1280x1024 of that picture with a bit smaller Scorpion+aptosid? My screen is a 19'' (4:3), so to have the picture without being badly scaled I have to scale & crop it and that cuts both horizontal ends.

Here's another variation from much earlier in the development process - the cartoon is a lot more raw:

Click the pic to grab the source plus wallpaper sizes @ (1024x768/1280x1024/1600x1200/1280x800/1440x900/1920x1200/1920x1080)or get it here:

as usually sources are available using apt-get.

You must comment the deb-src line in your sources list "aptosid.list"

all release art is available in it's source (ie layered as you call it) format.
The difference is all art sources are vector graphics which are essentially layered by design (regardless of whether you create layers on top of objects or not). You can edit them easily in inkscape.

As x-un-i said, you can uncomment the aptosid deb-src line in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/aptosid.list, then:
      Code:
# as root
apt-get update
# as user
apt-get source aptosid-art-wallpaper-keres

/me falls out of chair laughing.

back story: for those that don't know: klaymen drew the original sketch (which appears in cleary's post) that i based the final keres background on.

Hard for me to estimate size and position because I don't use that resolution. Like this maybe?
