I just transferred my new year pictures on my computer using Digikam. Everything worked great until I tried to rotate some of them. When I click the rotate button, nothing happens. I tried to launch Digikam from the console in case there would be errors but nothing appears when I hit the rotate button. I'm using the latest version of Digikam available in the repos (1.2.0).

Anybody else experiencing the same problem ?

How did you rotate the image ?

After some testing it seems that when I right click on the image and enter the Modify mode, I can use the "Rotate" option in the "Transform" menu and it works fine. However if I try to rotate it using the small arrow icons in the thumbnail or in the view mode, it doesn't do anything.

I only tried rotate in the normal view mode using the two arrows but just tried it in edit mode and it also works there fine. It looks like it is just your install you could try purging it and the Kipi plugins then reinstalling
