I thought I read somewhere that this wifi card would work with the 37 kernel. Ceni still finds only my BCM57780 lan connection.

Here some infos.

Should be supported by "brcm80211" in staging (actually already backported to our 2.6.36 kernels), but requires non-free firmware (apt-get install firmware-brcm80211). Personally I have no idea if or how well it actually works and neither got any real feedback yet.

In general I tend to avoid calling staging drivers "supported", because there's always a reason why they are still in staging.
