I am unable to install upgrades. Every time I try I get the message:

Failed to fetch ftp://ftp.spline.de/pub/aptosid/debian/ ... _amd64.deb Hash Sum mismatch

The following files are, in fact, in /var/cache/apt/archives:

linux-headers-2.6.37-0.slh.7-aptosid-amd64_2.6.37-7_amd64.deb
linux-headers-2.6-aptosid-amd64_2.6.37-7_amd64.deb
linux-image-2.6-aptosid-amd64_2.6.37-7_amd64.deb

If I try an apt-get dist-upgrade --fix-missing , it tries to download the file again, and then the same error message.

I have gone through this several times over the last few days, with several apt-get update runs as well, but the problem persists.

Solved, but I'm not sure why.
I have been unable to dist-upgrade for over a week because of this problem. All of a sudden, today, it worked. Maybe a new file uploaded somewhere.
Anyway, all is well now.

Thats not a new feature - unstable is by design a self-healing repository Wink

I would recommend to switcht the mirror by the way. First of all, a german mirror for an us citizen is a waste of Atlantic cable bandwidth (you hurt your ISP, but even more, it takes quiet a bit of time for you). Further more, use a http mirror rather than a ftp one as APT likes to talk to a fullfeatured http server.
