Hi there,

because I'd like to play around with mupen64plus I would like to know if the "HID force feedback" feature is enabled in the latest kernel(2.6.37-0.slh.12-aptosid-amd64, me thinks) and if not, how do I enable it.

Thanks a lot in advance

i have no idea what exactly you need, but maybe it helps.
      Code:
cat /boot/config-2.6.37-0.slh.12-aptosid-amd64 | grep HID

Hi devil,

thanks for your answer. I know, I was a bit unspecific.
This is what I've found for *buntu:

http://wiki.vdrift.net/Enabling_force_f ... _in_kernel

but it's Ubuntu, not aptosid and I don't know if I should do it just alike.

I need it to get my N64 controller (connected via USB) to rumble.

Regards

Does say dmesg anything then you plugin the controller?

Maybe your user just doesn't have access permissions on the controller… I had a similar problem with the vibrator of my phone as by default only root can use devices.

Have you read the qouted wiki entry?
It's about Kernel 2.6.26 and 2.6.27!

@DonKult

The controller is recognized and works as expected - except the rumble part. That's why I started to search for a solution.

@towo

Are you serious?
Of course I know it's about a different kernel. I just reffered to this wiki because devil had no idea about my needs. It could be just as well about kernel 1.23 or 0.5 or whatever. Moreover, the wiki entry is about a wheel, whereas I need it for a Nintendo64 controller - but it pictures pretty well what I want.

Thank you all for your efforts.

Regards
