After todays d-u I can not reach the network using DHCP.

ifup eth0 or using ceni dont help

My /etc/network/interfaces says

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

autho eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp

Also, when rebooting with earlier kernel I get stuck in an infinite (?) DHCP loop... (how do I break this ?)

Any advice where to start ?

Thank's

make sure "auto" does not have "h"...

check if your dhcp server is reachable and working properly...

check which packages are updated in the last d-u in /var/log/apt/term.log

check again what hardware is used for your eth0 and if it may need a new firmware,
or contrary, if you may need to remove the obsolete firmware, etc.

Embarassed

Having struggled a while to get the info you asked for it turned out the it-dpt just updated a server.....

Still, many thank's for your effort. Appreciated!

I think this thread could be deleted entirely since it can be of no help to anyone else.
