Hi All,

Subject looks kinda insane, but still... What are the chances?

I'm thinking that
1) specifying /etc/apt/sources.list with aptosid mirrors
2) installing aptosid kernel + dependencies
3) rebooting
4) running aptitude safe-upgrade or something like that
would work.

So please, could you advice what's written in your sources.list and sources.list.d?

Thank you all in advance for your time and effort.

WBR,
DiaWorD

Forget it!
You can't change an Ubunto to Debian, this will never work!

I don't understand the reason you would want to try this, unless you're a masochist. Backup your home and data and delete the ubuntu partition. Install a fresh aptosid and be amazed at how quick and easy the install is. Oh, and don't use aptitude with aptosid!

If you are just after a fresher kernel, you may be able to use an aptosid kernel with ubuntu. In that case just add an aptosid mirror to your sources and install the kernel. Don't remove your ubuntu kernels though... you might need them.
