Hi!

First, sorry for my English writing...

Thanks for this nice distribution (I'm testing it on an old Duron and it's really very good)!

I have to include this PC on a SMB network and I would avoid to use all the Samba stuff...

I would like to use Gigolo (I installed also gvfs-fuse + fuse-utils), but I don't manage to make it working...

Any help from a PRO?

Thanks in advance!

(I'm not a PRO)

gigolo is in Debian.
$ apt-cache search gigolo
gigolo-dbg - frontend to manage connections to remote filesystems using GIO/GVfs (debug)
gigolo - frontend to manage connections to remote filesystems using GIO/GVfs
xfce4-goodies - enhancements for the Xfce4 Desktop Environment

xfce4-goodies suggests gigolo

(excerpt from the output of apt-cache show xfce4-goodies)
Some packages are only suggested because they bring too much dependencies,
but you may find them interesting:
...
* GIO/GVfs frontend to manage connections to remote filesystems (gigolo)
...

So, it should be well integrated to use in xfce.
install with command
# apt-get install gigolo

Thank you Muchan!

In fact, since the beginning, I installed "gigolo" + "gvfs-fuse" + "fuse-utils"...

And nothing happens: i.e. no SMB option in Gigolo settings!

Thanks again and have a good night!
