Talking about flash replacement.
Anyone tried lightspark?
Does any of these flash alternative work with grooveshark.com?
As soon as I have some time I'll give it a try myself, if no one has already done.
Cheers |

Lightspark- and Gnash-plugins can and should be used together, side by side. They do have different features, usually Lightspark with the more modern approach will jump in first, and hand over to Gnash where it does not succeed. We will see more improvements from both groups, and it will not take long for the duo to fully replace the closed source commercial product all together. Your milage might vary, very much depending on the code quality at sites you visit, though.
Lanzi, probably the most elegant, slim and fast approach to create galleries is CSS, some of the best examples here: http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menu/

hehe.. This is really what I am waiting for! Another one of the old-way (proprietary) tools, that will be gone forever from my computer. It is always astonishing to follow the power of open sorce software! |

@ Lanzi
here you can find some php/css photogalleries that need no database (mysql)
http://litecms.altervista.org/?Photogallery
It's in italian, but I think that google might do a good job translating it, and probably the only thing you need to know is that "Anteprima" means preview
@slam, is there a how-to for installing (and configuring/using) both gnash and lightspark? once installed, how can I chose which one to use?
ciao guys |

@Slam: Kallery is not bad at all... Looks a bit old fashioned... and I have to click for every single pic...
In fact I need to explore it.
I really look for something, that generates a gallerie, like simpleviewer-plugin under gwenview (or porta), that I can manually upload to my ftp.
The second link (tutplus) looks also promising! Thanks.
I also tested lightspark... until now, I do not see much difference, but time will tell |
