I have just dist-upgraded, now I have a message like this:

"too many loops! (loop=100001, dep->name=keyboard-setup, src->name=stop-bootlogd-single)"

???

FWIW, I just did a dist-upgrade and didn't have this problem...

What happens after the loop error? Does the system boot up anyway or does the boot process hang?

Which kernel are you using? 32bit oder 64bit? I have dist-upgraded on 32bit without any problems.

Maybe you need to "dpkg-reconfigure --config" the package "keyboard-configuration"?

The error is after the message about boot up with makefile-style when the kernel is populating dev.
The system boot without problems.

It is the last 64 bit kernel.
I will try to dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-setup.
