Since I didn't get so good results with ekiga, I wanted to test skype now. I installed Skype on my aptosid AMD64 with force-architecture:

      Quote:

apt-get install ia32-libs ia32-libs-gtk libasound2-plugins libqt4-core libqt4-gui
wget -O skype-install.deb http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-linux-beta-deb
dpkg -i --force-architecture skype-install.deb

This comes from this page: http://wiki.debian.org/skype
On this debianpage its said, that I need to do another hack, to get video. My webcam is working, but the pictue shows too much saturation (too many colours).

What should I do, try the webcam hack, or can I change the picture otherwise?

You may use luvcview.

What about fps. My logitech webcam has 2 to 8.2 fps.
It is really slow.

I found not a solution, but pluggin it on my laptop showd me, that the camera works there. So I plugged it back to my 64bit aptosid, and... IT WORKS. Don't know why... but... welll... Wink
