I have 2 systems and haven't been hit by this bug. Wonder if it is driver and/or configuration related? What systems are using the Intel, ati/radeon/fglrx or nouveau/nvidia blob that get bit by this? |

That is still to be determined, no one knows the actual background why some systems are affected while others aren't. Personally I dist-upgraded around a dozen systems using KDE4, without being able to reproduce the issue... |

It has happened on one boot with a 32 bit system here. A hard reboot was OK and not suffered since with 3-4 boots after and many before. I've now downgraded to testing in case it reoccurs. |

Thank You! I was looking to test out KDE for a couple days (because of gnomeshell coming in a year or so) and I kept getting this error. Fixed it the bug but I did have to uninstall some dev files.
Code:
bash@debian:~$ sudo apt-get install libdbus-1-3/testing
Reading package lists... Done

Selected version '1.4.6-1' (Debian:testing [amd64]) for 'libdbus-1-3'

libdirectfb-extra liborbit2-dev libidl-dev libsdl-gfx1.2-4 libmikmod2-dev
orbit2 libavahi-common-dev libdirectfb-dev libsysfs-dev
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.

I was hit today after d-u today. Rebooted 2 times, no change.
Left for "Frühschoppen" and booting after it went fine. Everything seems ok, may be selfhealing by whatever. |

Thanks Santa, meanwhile I've uploaded -9 with artificially decreased version to our repo, in order to bridge the time until the next mirror sync (and until the i386 picks it up). |
