Hey folks,
will there ever be an enlightenment version of aptosid? As E17 is hitting it's first stable release I would really love to see more frequent updates of the E suite on my aptosid system. Is anyone working on it already?
I'm not a programmer and my knowledge of linux has its limits, but i would really like to help. What type of knowledge/skills do i need to make myself useful?
Anyways, thanks for all your efforts.

That totally depends on someone (>=2 developers) being willing to support e17 (after it has actually been uploaded to Debian proper) and do the code changes to actually implement it for aptosid.
Chances to achieve this quorum for an e17 based aptosid release, at least within the existing developer group, are somewhere between low and non-existing; the history of hurd^wDNF^we17 doesn't exactly foster this either...
GNOME or LXDE based releases, while not imminent, might actually happen though, if some remaining problems can be overcome. |

| A Gnome based release could be rather difficult due to the rather broken state of Gnome in Sid. |
