D-U updates package liblucene2-java to 2.9.4+ds1-1 which breaks dependency with eclipse.
So eclipse users need to hold/downgrade liblucene2-java to 2.9.3+ds1-1 until bug fixed.

      Code:
echo liblucene2-java hold|dpkg --set-selections

Temporary uninstallability of packages due to library transitions is the nature of Debian/ unstable, its mere purpose. Unless the issue remains for longer periods (>10 days) or is the result of obvious packaging mistakes, filing bugs isn't overly helpful and even increases the workload of involved maintainers.

Transitions are managed by the Debian release team, which periodically checks the consistency of all suites.

Thank you Stefan, next time I won't hurry filing such bugs...

Already 15 days passed. Eclipse still has "remove" status. Sad

Well, paagrio, it seems the bug was fixed just after your post yesterday Smile :
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepor ... =624213#10

Today's D-U on my aptosid 32bit seems to be fine. I removed the hold on liblucene2-java to let the new eclipse packages be installed:
      Code:

# echo liblucene2-java install|dpkg --set-selections
# apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade
