I did an update on Aptosid KDE 64bit, I am using adobe 64bit flash plugin, on "some" websites such as imdb movie trailers, flash videos are played with an audio which comes with lots of annoying noise. The video itself is played smoothly without any problem but the sound is terrible. To my astonishment, this problem shows up only on a number of web sites, and on others such as youtube the sound is clear. Any idea? |

I can confirm this is happening on x64 with flash from repos. I noticed this first happening about 1 week ago and have been trying to figure it out on my own. Like you say some flash is affected and some not. I'm thinking the flash sounds may have been written for an earlier version and the latest version isn't backward compatable. I'll follow up after more testing.
Code:
More info: You have version 10,3,162,29 installed
apt-cache policy flashplugin-nonfree
flashplugin-nonfree:
Installed: 1:2.8.3
System: Host siduxbox64a Kernel 2.6.38-5.slh.1-aptosid-amd64 x86_64 (64 bit) Distro sidux 2009-03 Μώμος - kde-lite - (200911110039)
Adobe site recommends 10.3.181.14 |

Same here. Any solution around?
Strange as flash plugin is months old and the noise is since days. |

I recognized this a couple of days ago on this site: http://www.simfy.de/. Therefore I'm also very interested in a solution to this. (Also using AMD64) |

works and sounds great on 32 bit ('http://www.wdrmaus.de/kaeptnblaubaerseite/baerchen/tv2.php5')
cannot test http://www.simfy.de/ due to international rights agreements, service is not located in my country |

Would installing the latest 32bit flash using nspluginwrapper fix it? The 64 bit preview for amd64 is rather old. |

The bug is only appearing in the 64 bit version so the patch is for 64 bit. |
