If you do upload anything make sure you don't forget the full and complete sources to satisfy all the relevant licenses.

I wouldn't have thought that sourceforge would appreciate being used to distribute 500M+ iso files of remasters let alone multi GiB sources but I don't really know about that.

I sometimes use http://www.filehosting.org/ for uploading iso's for internal development tests.
But you can use it for public use, too.

It may be a bit complicated for the downloader, but you just have to link or publish the download address somewhere.

My only goal, honestly is to share working e17s. If they let me upload SID, that's it for me. Being honest It's damn difficult to find a live SID much less one with e17 and much more less with a functional Remastersys.

If I can't I'll try to upload it somewhere else.

64 bit if lucky might be up by midnight. Connection is better today.

Best wishes,
Xeta

P.S. If it does go up and you are interested- I'll post a new post about it- Read the READ ME file Smile or else Smile)

P.P.S wrote Sourceforge again and hope to know what they say.

P.P.P.S They just gave me the go ahead Yay!

Best, Xeta

p.s. I hope to work on the 32 bit today.

I didn't start out to do this. I'm sorry. But I'm not sure I understand why not?

Before reading this/your latest post I asked in my first post if I could say- google the name? Is this wrong also? If so I'll remove it. Can I direct people at least to the remastersys website?

I didn't think any of this would be a problem.

Best,
Xeta

P.S. I want to add I will comply with your wishes- if I can't even mention the name.

I know people want a way to remaster Aptosid. Honestly I tried figuring out Pyfill first but didn't know where to start. If Aptosid had a way easily to remaster I would be writing only about installing a current e17. And offering this iso to people saves them all the hassle I went through. I love Linux. I love the choices we have and I again say I didn't mean to step on anyone's toes. This was never my intention. But I am surprised this is a problem. I'm just speaking honestly.

dont apologise. some people here are very restrictive.
pyfll is probably not harder than remastersys, looking at the probs you had, and its much cleaner.
so maybe you want to look into that again.

Well I would also like to know why it is not allowed to post about remastering here.
You made clear that you will not support him or problems that rise using his remaster. But how can sharing information that others might be interested in be not allowed here?

@se7en I love Monty Python! Very Happy

There was a bit of a tweak getting Remastersys in but a lot was my own human error- like not checking for gdm or dnsmasq. With a bit more effort I could probably figure out why grub isn't installing but with 'Restore Grub' right there I don't see it as a problem, ehh big problem?

Anyway and Oh well.
