      Code:
Bus 005 Device 009: ID 0af0:6971 Option Globetrotter HSDPA Modem

/etc/wvdial.conf:
      Code:

[Dialer Defaults]
Init1 = ATZ
Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
Modem Type = Analog Modem
Phone = *99#
ISDN = 0
Password = tm
New PPPD = yes
Username = t-mobile
Modem = /dev/ttyHS0
Baud = 460800

[Dialer umts-pin]
;# Init3 = AT+CPIN=1234

[Dialer umts]
Dial Command = ATD
Carrier Check = no
Phone = *99#
Stupid Mode = 1
Init4 = AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet.t-mobile"
Dial Attempts = 2
Password = tm
Username = t-mobile

dmesg even bringt:
      Code:

[161130.706152] usb 6-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 67
[161130.854238] usb 6-2: New USB device found, idVendor=0af0, idProduct=6971
[161130.854248] usb 6-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=4
[161130.854255] usb 6-2: Product: Globetrotter HSDPA Modem
[161130.854261] usb 6-2: Manufacturer: Option N.V.
[161130.854266] usb 6-2: SerialNumber: Serial Number
[161305.794134] usb 6-2: reset full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 67

wvdial:
      Code:

 wvdial umts

--> WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.61
--> Cannot get information for serial port.
--> Initializing modem.
--> Sending: ATZ
ATZ
OK
--> Sending: ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
OK
--> Sending: AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet.t-mobile"
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet.t-mobile"
OK
--> Modem initialized.
--> Sending: ATD*99#
--> Waiting for carrier.
--> Timed out while dialing.  Trying again.
--> Sending: ATD*99#
--> Waiting for carrier.

Dann nach einer Weile:
      Code:

--> Timed out while dialing.  Trying again.
--> Maximum Attempts Exceeded..Aborting!!
--> Disconnecting at Sat Jun 11 12:39:10 2011

I find the second line above strange:

--> Cannot get information for serial port.

Any help apreciated.

      Code:
deb http://frickelplatz.de/debian/  sid main contrib non-free

und dann

apt-get update && apt-get install usb-modeswitch hsolink hsoconnect

Dank an RoEn

Falscher Symlink:
      Code:
 ls -la /usr/bin/HSOconnect
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root dialout 36 Oct 23  2010 /usr/bin/HSOconnect -> usr/share/hsoconnect/hsoc/HSOconnect

Da fehlt offen sichtlich ein slash.
Behebung:
      Code:

rm /usr/bin/HSOconnect

ln -s /usr/share/hsoconnect/hsoc/HSOconnect /usr/bin/HSOconnect

chmod +x /usr/bin/HSOconnect
