I pinned the last known flash 64 -- version 10.0.42.34 and it has been working fine so far with no issues.

With the current state of vulnerabilities in Flash atm, this is a really bad idea.

@snvv: Thanks for the flash link and the security advisory link. I can avoid the chroot now!
The beta version is 10.2.161.22. Does the security advisor apply to this? I would guess yes, there is no point in giving the benefit of doubt to adobe.

d-u pulled in a new 64bit flashplayer-nonfree package this morning. I had no time to look at it, but it looks like the problem is solved now.

Hi,

I found the 64bit flash plugin at
http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html

The file
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/labs ... 510.tar.gz
contains a libflashplayer.so which does work on my amd64 squeeze system.
(Tested with a single youtube video, so I don't know how stable it is)

Currently in the mirrors: flashplugin-nonfree 1:2.8.2 I'm very interested in hearing from anyone testing it.

edit: Tested and working A+. Anyone that's been holding off upgrading or is not happy with the alternatives feel free to install the new flash. All appears to be working fine... fast response, low resource utilization, seamless upgrade.

browe: so far, aside from full-screened video not stretching to fill the screen, it works as expected.
