Hi, I am having a new ACER TravelMate with INTEL GMA 4500MHD graphics card and the only resolution that is available from systemsettings is 800x600 or 1024x768
It should be capable of 1200x800 or more. Besides the screen and the fonts look 'stretched'.

I also tried xrandr
      Code:
xrandr --output LVDS --mode XXXXxYYY

but I get an error stating:
      Code:
output LVDS not found; ignoring

Nothing changes.
any ideas? Thanks in advance

EDIT: the cheatcodes I had used in order to solve another problem caused the wrong resolution. So after getting rid of them the problem was solved.
Thanks to "absolut".
