i get this:
      Code:
apt-get dist-upgrade -d
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Calculating upgrade... Failed
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 xserver-xorg-core : Breaks: xserver-xorg-video-6
 xserver-xorg-video-nv : Depends: xorg-video-abi-6.0
E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.

there was also a problem with virtualbox-ose-x11 but i removed it.

i want to try the frickel fglrx-driver and it doesn't seem to want to install before i take care of the above problem.

i'd appreciate any direction.

thanks, ike.

Remove xserver-xorg-video-nv, this driver is gone.
And again, you don't need frickelplatz for installing fglrx.
