After long time with LMDE in my laptop I found time to try again aptosid.
That time everything worked fine in a Probook 4320s (even wifi),but I have two questions.
First, how I can install 64 bit version? I downloaded aptosid-2011-02-imera-kde-full-i386-amd64-201107131633.iso and the uname show a 686 version.
Second, where I can find the firmware for my ATI HD5400? With latest kernel the appropriate firmware is missing and I was forced to use fglrx (btw works fine).
Thank you
snvv
EDIT
One more problem.... something is wrong with colors (see pic). I hardly can read anything in panels etc.

What mirror did you download the iso from ?
That don't look like the default color to me, I could be wrong. (unless of course you changed it) |

At the boot menu you get a choice between 32bit i686 or 64bit amd64.
As for the firmware, it comes in the firmware-linux-nonfree package from debian non-free. |

Thank you both.
Obviously, I did something totally wrong.
I will reinstall and see how it is going. |

Ok I reinstalled, but again somehow the colors change. Actually this happen after a bad decision to install skype (I don't know if this is related).
Is it possible to get back the original colors?
Thank you
