Changing Hostname;
I find that my aptosid shows the hostname as new-host-2 recently though the name is /etc/hosts is different. There were some posts about a year ago , but it was not completely solved as far as I could see. uname -a gives Linux new-hostname-2 3.1-0.slh.1-aptosid-686 #1 .... I have tried changing the hostname in/etc/hostname/ /etc/mail and /etc/hosts following the earlier posts to no avail. I am unable to figure out where the computer is getting new-host-2 from. I am working with wireless; this is a home laptop.
Will appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks
