I have three types of installs with different gfx in different machines

1. nvidia with debian non-free drivers
2. radeon
3. virtualbox installs:
3a. Linux as host
3b. Win7 as host
3c. Linux as guest
3d. Win7 as guest

I already know type #1 has already been discussed and I should way. I'm assuming type #2 is fine

Will I run into problems with type #3a and #3c?

1. (nvidia graphics cards with non-free nvidia.ko) <apparently_broken>
1b. (nvidia graphics cards with nouveau) <functional>

2. (AMD/ ATi graphics cards with radeon) <functional>
2b. (AMD/ ATi graphics cards with non-free fglrx) <likely_broken>

3abcd. (virtualbox in any flavour) <functional>

4. (kvm with arbitrary guest) <functional>
5. (any graphics hardware covered by opensource drivers shipped in Debian/ main) <functional>

The emulated graphics hardware of virtualbox is covered by virtualbox-guest-x11 (or the equivalent Windows vbox drivers), kvm emulates cirrus (or VESA) graphics - both are fine and just needed to be rebuilt against the new xserver-xorg ABI (done for all drivers within 6-12 hours).
