Anyone else notice knotify4 sucks 100% of the CPU (one CPU if you have multiple cores) after the latest d-u?

EDIT: on 2nd desktop start, it didn't do this...

i've seen this behaviour on a mature MEPIS install with kde4.<something> (way < 4.6).

on this very install, plugin in removable media (usb flash drive and/or hdd via usb) tended to render the system unresponsive for minutes, e.i. nothing on the screen moved except mouse cursor. iirc i once found out knotify beeing the culprit (hogging cpu).

i was not able to reproduce this reliably, so didn't delve into it further.

neither have i seen this on any sensibly up-to-date aptosid install.

In some cases this happens from time to time on my laptop, too.
And sometimes xorg decides to go crazy. In these cases I always logout and do an init 3 && sleep 10 && init 5
