|Hi I am getting
Syntax error on line 1 of /etc/apache2/apache2.conf:
Invalid command '\xef\xbb\xbf#', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration
as a result of
apache2 -k start
The file /etc/apache2/apache2.conf
does not contain the string \xef
and neither does any other file in /etc/...
The path does not exist and usually I am using slashes instead of backslashes...
Any help apreciated
Actually I could solve the issue after having found a backup copy of my directory /etc.
A thorough investigation resulted in the following information:
grep -rl -l $'\xEF\xBB\xBF' .
actually showed up apache2.conf having these characters.
They seem to be Byte order Markers and were inserted whilst I was editing the config file.
