I have successfully put the Mint 9 tools (XFCE) on 64 bit aptosid (XFCE-64 bit). Unfortunately it pulls in some Ubuntu packages. I had hoped that Mint would have chosen something like aptosid to base it's Debian Edition on.

| Per the Mint website the LMDE project it is only available in 32 bit. If you are using 64 bit, then you are using the original Mint project files that track Ubuntu. From what I've read LMDE uses debian sources. |
