When I want to start iceweasel I get
Code:
XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /usr/lib/xulrunner-10.0/libxpcom.so:
libxul.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Couldn't load XPCOM.
And icedove says
Code:
XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /usr/lib/icedove/libxpcom.so:
libnss3.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Couldn't load XPCOM.
I have already seen this thread but it did not work for me:http://www.aptosid.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=2364 |

This is an old bug from 2011 that has been claimed to be fixed, but, some people are still having problems with it.
I would try purging
xulrunner
xulrunner-dev (if installed)
iceweasel
Code:
apt-get clean && apt-get update && apt-get install iceweasel
I cannot test this or try to reproduce it as I no longer use iceweasel (i use nightly firefox) |

| I just --purge removed Iceweasel 10 and Icedove 10 and installed Iceweasel 16 and Icedove 16 from the experimental repository and both still won't start. |

| Ouch, try again (purge) and remove the .mozilla folder in home and then reinstall |
