Hello,
The beta version 3 of R project is in the mirrors.
It installs correctly but most of the CRAN packages are not up to this version. Therefore, most of the functionality of the program is gone.

if you upgraded (as I did), you may downgrade the three relevant packages (r-base, r-base-core and r-recommended) from http://snapshot.debian.org/ and put them on hold till all the CRAN packages become compatible.

Thank you for the link.
There are many strange things with that upgrade. i.e., from nlme manual "Depends graphics, stats, R (>= 2.14.0), R (< 3.0.0)". I tried to compile it and failed, but the uploaded package works with R ver. 3. Other uploaded debian packages failed.
At least I have a machine with correct R (and holded) to work with.
I think that migration will last more than usual.

EDIT.
Also, Rkward does not work with new R
